As Lovers we shared
our Nightmares by the
candle light,..laughing
so hard it often broke
the stitches of our mending
Hearts..

but as enemies...we weep
at the concept of a Smile!

(and The Surrounding
World grows Dark.)

Yesterday, I was obsessed
with Amorous Wordplay..
constantly seeking new ways
by which to express The
Burning of my Heart.

Today?...

I am a Shadow choking on
The Flames!...

(lamenting The Death
of Love's Sweet Art.)

The Nightmares were always
real,...(just less intense when
viewed from the grinning eyes
of Two Romantic Comedians.)
and each Cut reminded us what
it was to FEEL!

but I fear that now we shall never
Laugh...!

(or Bleed Again.)
